Holly Sterling was born in Dublin and grew up in Southern England. She is currently studying for a Master of Fine Art (MFA) in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art.
Holly moved to the North East of England in in 2006 to study Illustration and Design at the University of Sunderland. She graduated with first class honours in 2009. Following her studies, she worked at a design company in the North East of England producing work including web design, brand identity, e-commerce, character design and illustration for flash games. She is currently studying for a Master of Fine Art (MFA) in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art.
She has a passion for creating characters and illustrating for children. She also enjoys screen-printing and mark-making and creates beautifully illustrated products such as keyrings, mugs and earrings.
Holly also competes for her country in karate. Starting at the age of ten, this hobby turned into a life-long commitment. She is a double National Champion and Gold and Bronze medalist from the WSKA World Championships that were held in Chicago. Even with her busy schedule she still finds time to teach and coach other practicing karateka from the age of five up to adults in their sixties.
