We're celebrating in quadruplicate today - four of our authors have been shortlisted for The Scottish Children's Book Awards.
Chae Strathie's Jumblebum (illustrated by the wonderful Ben Cort) (Scholastic) is one of the three books shortlisted in the 3 to 7 year-old category.
Janis Mackay's The Accidental Time Traveller is shortlisted in the 8 to 11 category, along with Daniela Sacerdoti's The Really Weird Removals.com. So it's a great day for Floris books - especially as the third in that category is Caroline Clough's Black Tide, another Kelpie paperback.
It seems minutes since Barry Hutchison held the Scottish Children's Book Award aloft for the first in his Afterworlds series of novels for 12 to 16 year-olds, The Thirteenth Horseman (HarperCollins) - and he's shortlisted once again for the follow-up, The Book of Doom (HarperCollins).
The other shortlisted authors and illustrators are Julia Donaldson, Rebecca Cobb, Debi Gliori, Diana Hendry and Claire McFall - so a big congratulations to them all.
